Just searching and searching. Mislaid my Mum's post office card for her pension. Looking high and low. Finally decided that it must have slipped out of my bag ( see previous post new bag required). After imagining someone picking it up and getting hold of her cash I was having kittens. Anyhow the post office people gave me a number to ring to stop the card and get a new one issued.
Have you ever tried to get a deaf and partially sighted 93 year old to answer security questions without giving them any prompts? After the 3rd call we finally had success and Mum felt just brilliant that she managed to pass the test. I felt like an idiot for causing the fiasco.
New card- pension got and back to normal. Hope this is a one off. I need a lie down.
Searching for the perfect...

Hobby. I am a bit of a butterfly flitting from one crafty hobby to another. The ideal hobby would not take up too much room, is portable and had limitless possibilities to inspire.
Things I have tried-
Cardmaking. This worked out cheaper than buying cards especially with free printables but loads of people are cardmaking now and what to do with the spares? Have loads to get rid off. Charity perhaps?
Patchwork. Really enjoy the design bit especially with the short cut measures I have found on you tube.
There is a lot of space needed with the machine and pressing needed, even more if you are quilting too. I thought of making small cot quilts for local Neo-Natal unit. They seem to have plenty though.
Art. Have been taking classes recently and enjoyed this but with oils/acrylics the space thing becomes an issue. Perhaps watercolour pencils and miniatures?
Crochet. This is great for watching TV and very portable. I have been lucky to be given a bag of surplus yarn so I might make some granny squares and see how I go.

Resolution. It has got to be achievable without too much alteration in your general habits. Thus declaring that you will lose 4 stones is harder than saying you want to lose weight. Being specific only makes it harder to stick to.
Last year I managed to stick to one resolution and that was to write down all my daily expenditure in an effort to see where I was able to become more frugal.
This year I plan not to spend in charity shops until Easter. Also no alcohol in January. I wonder if those that know me can guess which I will struggle with most!
Happy New Year.

Handbag. Am I the only person looking for the perfect handbag. I buy a new (to me) one every few weeks in search of perfection. Not too big or small. Enough pockets to store stuff but not so many that you can't find anything. Cannot get used to organiser bags. I can never find anything in them as I forget which bit hold what.
Am I the only person with loads of shopping bags too? I cannot resist a bag for life- must have 20 of them!
